News
Can we just say something for a moment?
Guys, what should we say? That was just real Southside love! You danced away the rain, competed with the Sunday sunshine and made this weekend unforgettable. But let's review everything again.
FRIDAY
The rain opened the festival day on Friday, but you weren't impressed by it. Big city vibes, party atmosphere and electro vibes were there at Großstadtgehisper, and if you preferred rock, you were also at Sum 41, who really got you all jumping. You sang along to the Giant Rooks songs so loudly that you could be heard across the entire area – what a joy it was! The Offspring carried us away in their usual manner before Bring Me The Horizon completely demolished the Green Stage with them - the energy was simply incomparable. For the big finale, Deichkind delivered plenty of ruckus and remmidemmi as they ended the first day of the festival with you. What a show!
SATURDAY
We weren't blessed with blue skies or sun on Saturday either. Doesn't matter! You didn't let that get you down and had an incredibly nice party in the rain! At Paula Carolina we danced full of happiness, celebrated with Ski Aggu to the point of complete ecstasy and at Fontaines D.C. the vocal cords warmed up. Of course there was also plenty of mosh pit action, including at Idles. The National have made it their mission to hit us all right in the heart. In addition, at Marsimoto you have proven that you are 100% text-safe. Respect! Anyone who didn't have to shed a tear at Ayliva: WTF? Are you okay?? And of course Ed Sheeran didn't miss the chance to deliver one of the most emotional shows we've ever seen. The end of the day was left to none other than Kontra K. At this point we asked ourselves how it is possible that you still have so much energy after this day!?
SUNDAY
On Sunday the weather was kind to us and you reflected the sun's rays! With Paula Hartmann we were allowed to sing along and hold each other in our arms. At Jungle the vibe was definitely right and at Brutismus 3000 the finest techno was served. With Leoniden and The Hives, everyone with a heart for big sing-alongs got their money's worth. Pure euphoria! Avril Lavigne made tens of thousands of teen dreams come true and at Turnstile the mosh pit level was raised to the highest level of the weekend. You expected a lot from Sido and got even more! A little new, a little classic and always 100% energy! K.I.Z have already cemented the classic status of their new album "Görlitzer Park" and shown why they are at the top of German rap!
You are proof that it's not the weather that makes the Southside, but you! Together you beamed, danced, sang and laughed and made this weekend an unforgettable one!
